Dr. McEnerny recently became a member of our Fulbright Association chapter. She joined the University of Virginia Career Center in September 2025 as Experiential Learning Coordinator and as a part-time instructor in University Studies.
She served as Professor of Education for Vermont State University/Castleton (VTSU) from 2012-2024 and returned to her home state of Virginia in 2024 to gain additional relevant and timely experiences in civic engagement and leadership.
Past Chair of VTSU’s Education department and President of the Vermont Association for Middle Level Education, Dr. McEnerny also served as coordinator of VTSU’s Educational Leadership graduate program. Her background includes a global perspective informed by international experiences with and without students, including as Fulbright Specialist in Kazakhstan in both 2016 and 2023, where she built bridges between teachers in Vermont and those in Central Asia.
